High-Resolution DSD Piano Recording
in Tokyo

Introducing a special recording plan that prioritises absolute sound purity over modern convenience.

• Format: we record directly to DSD, a format that cannot be edited.
• Method: live-to-2-Track" recording. (Mistakes cannot be fixed later.)
• Process: after recording, we convert the DSD data to high-resolution PCM and apply editing and mastering.
• Deliverables: four different WAV files, all set for posting on streaming platforms.

[IMPORTANT NOTICE]

• While the sound quality is excellent, no editing (cut-and-paste or pitch correction) is possible in this format. This session is closer to a live performance than a standard studio production. This plan is not for customers who require standard recordings.

• To maintain piano tuning stability, air conditioning may remain active during summer sessions. However, we utilise noise-reduction software, such as iZotope RX, to completely remove background noise from the final masters without affecting the piano’s tone. The noise can not be removed from the original DSD.
